Flounder Fingerling Release in Perdido Bay area
The most recent newsletter of Outdoor Alabama Weekly by David Ranier had information about the release of 12,000 plus fingerling flounder recently. This was the first release of the project they have been working on and the newsletter is quite positive about what they learned with this first attempt. It sounds optimistic for the future and they are soliciting donations of brood stock again this year.
I personally am hopeful that this is a step in the right direction of rebuilding our flounder population. I have been very disappointed in the number of flounder I have been able to catch the last couple of years.
