    Fishy Question

Been a member for a short time but have learned some good stuff here. As I read the reports, I am guessing the bite on the pier is mostly early, and late, but there are times that schools of active fish move in and feed at different times of the day. So, even in the hot months, a man/woman could catch something nice any time of the day, IF you can bear the heat. With that said, I am wondering about the night bite also. Heck, we coming to fish, not babe watch. Lol

Night bite, especially early morning hours before dawn, are best for flounder and specks - live bait, light lines, small hooks. Carolina rigs for flounder, freeline for specks. Bull minnows are hardiest and longest lived, live shrimp are great, but get torn apart by pinfish.

People are shocked to see sharks in the water around here.

If you see natural water taste it. If it's salty it has sharks in it. If it's fresh it has alligators in it. If it's brackish it has both.

So, the pier is open 24hrs a day rite? Sounds good to me! Wish I had a vaccum to suck the air out of my bags for the trip home, if,if I get any.
