Fishing from the surf 8/3-8/10
Howdy All,
I will be coming down this weekend and will be doing a lot of fishing from the surf about two miles west of the pass. The past few years I have caught quite a few bluefish, pompano, whiting and sharks. I was wondering if anyone was having any luck off the beach and what they have been catching.
Thanks,
MJ

My buddy was out near Fort Morgan right after the hurricane/tropical storm passed a couple weeks back. They had several great days on Spanish, pompano, and drum fishing from the beach. Bubbles ruled for the Spanish, and they also caught a nice bobo. Lots of ladyfish around too...he said one day it was every cast for hours. The storm had "built" a nice sand bar about 75 yards off the beach, to which they kayaked and then stood on in the water.
Good luck, and post up how it goes for you.
Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
