    fishing spots

Anyone care to share a good fishing hole. I haven't fished since the oil spill and my son is dying to go. I currently live in Mobile, From what I hear Dauphin Island isn't producing at the moment so I'm thinking of going elsewhere. Anyone know if Fairhope pier or another place is any good right now? can't seem to find any fishing reports these days. Thanks in advance

Hello, Incomingtide1. Welcome to the forum. I live in N. Al., and only get to the coast once or twice a year. That being said, just give a spot a shot. Pick one, and take your son fishing. Pay attention to what others are doing, ask questions nicely, and your son will enjoy going fishing with his Dad. Might catch some fish, might not. It is still called fishing if you go. Good Luck!

The Causeway has been hot lately Just don't go during low tide. Dog river right under the bridge on D.I.P. has always been a good place there is a pier at The River Shack you can fish from.

Cedar Point Peir can be good. And depending on water conditions, the beach at DI can be great. You might want to park at the Public Beach at the end of Bienville Blvd, that way you can fish the sound or the beach, depending on wave & water conditions.
