    Fishing the Pier in March

I will be down the last week of March. What types of fish will be active at the pier that time of the year? Thanks in advance!

The silver cricket (snatch hook) is the only artificial that I've ever heard of anyone being successful with. I recommend live shrimp (because if the sheepshead aren't around/biting, you can use live shrimp for other species) or (second choice) fiddler crabs.

Live shrimp are my choice, by far, because if the sheepshead aren't biting, you can always take the bait home and cook it.

I prefer fiddler crabs as pets. I have one called, "Charlie Daniels"! I have a bunch of other fiddler crabs, but I just call them, "bait".
