Thanks for the advice-only get to come to your beautiful area once a year and always enjoy. The folks fdon there are always nice and courteous. Still would like to know how and where would be a way to catch a sspeckled trout -don't have the cash to hire a charter so all my fishing will be from shore

To catch trout from the Pier you have to go light Light spinning tackle with 4-6 lb line Free line live shrimp or small LYs with a small # 8 or 10 treble hook small split shot if needed Can also use a Small cork They are tough to catch I'd fish at first light or maybe at night under the lights That time of the year you may try wade fishing the Perdio Flats off Johnson's Beach or Big Lagoon State Park in Florida Same method Live shrimp under cork or popping cork with small plastic artificial jigs Just can't use treble hook in Florida waters You might also consider the Pier for spanish mackeral that time of the year on bubble rigs Prime Time & Pretty easy to fish I'll be around the Pier so if you need any help just ask
