fishing live bait under a popping cork
I have heard several people comment about fishing live bait under a popping cork on Little Lagoon. Can someone please elaborate on this setup? I'll be down in a few weeks and will have nice pier access on the Lagoon and want to try for some specs, reds, flounder, etc. I have a cast net and usually have no problem coming up with some kind of live bait. We will be staying at Sea Oats just west of Lagoon pass.
Thanks for the info in advance!

I've stayed in the Sea Oats and that can be some good fishing on the pier there. I had my best success at night though (I've stayed there in July however so it may be different for you). I'll leave the set up explanation to others who could describe it better I'm sure but I would recommend a visit to a good tackle store (J & M for instance). You can go in and tell them what you're wanting to do and they'll fix you right up. Good luck to you and I hope you'll post how you do on here.
Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
