    Fishing little lagoon

I have been fishing evenings with ghost shrimp on the bottom I get a bite in less than a minute no matter where I throw it but when I set the hook there is no fish and no bait , what's up.

    IN the Lagoon?
Likely it's pinfish and small croakers nibbling your bait.

I prefer to use small kahle hooks (#6 or even #8) and let the fish tighten the line and just start reeling.
Unless the line just 'goes slack' (because the fish in moving towards me.
Either way I reel fast and let the fish set the hook on itself when it turns away from the pressure.

    Hope this helps!

    And WELCOME to the forum!!
