Fishing in February
Good afternoon all -
Going to Gulf Shores for first time in mid-Feb. to visit grandparents. Up here in Maryland no fishing as all have moved off shore. Do you know if beach/pier fishing is still viable in mid-Feb? Thanks and appreciate your guidance.

Pretty much the same story here until the water begins to warm up (relatively speaking ;-)
A few whiting and an occasional burst of sheepshead.
Some years (during mild winters) things are looking up by mid February.
While that doesn't seem likely right now, you just never know.
Stay tuned...(RETIRED) mostly.

You would think I would know this!
