Fishing in Daphne Al
I went to the may day pier in Daphne this morning . On the walk to end of pier a man had a red fish and it fell off as he tried to pull it up. This was my first time going there and we went by another pier up the road called bayfront or something. Have any of you ever fished there and had any luck. I understand it is not the pier at gulf but if you get a fishing itch any water is better than no water. Two guys were talking and said last sat two brothers had about 12 redfish each (they were mad because no game w. was there to catch them over limit). Another man had a couple of specs was cleaning. All in all it was a good day even if I had no bites may take my young son back in morning it is a real nice looking place until we can hit up the gulf.

'Catching' @ Mayday, Bayfront, Fairhope & Meaher piers can (like anywhere else) may be good, or bad at any time. :fishing:
But when checking them I try to note the circumstances (time of year, time of day, water & air temps, wind, tide, water clarity, etc) and whether 'catching' is ''good" or "bad" and then develop a pattern to just go there when I expect fishing to be "good" ;-)
