fishing after bad weather
Hi, supposed to be headed down tomorrow night and fishing the weekend. Wondering if all the rain we had this week will make it a waste of time or not. I would hate to drive 6 hours and it be a wasted trip. Thanks.

It is called fishing, not catching, everything could be perfect and it still could suck.
On the other hand, I've fished dirty water on a neap, in the middle of August and had an awesome day killing fish.
Fri, Sat & Sun are supposed to beautiful sunny days, and there is going to be good tidal flow.
Ya never know till ya go, and I've never wasted a day fishing.
I'd be fishing if I could.Ragnar Benson:

Thanks guys for the quick responses. You've convinced me to come on down. You know what they say, a bad day fishing is better than a good day working

The fact there was some decent fish (a few) caught at the pier yesterday is encouraging to me.
How long it takes for the water to clear is problematic, so I suspect using fresh dead shrimp and near surface lures will be the 'norm' for a while.
After the flooding wrought by Hurricane Georges in October 1998, the water was VERY fresh for a while, but we still caught fish...

Never caught anything from the couch; fish have to eat, somehow, even if the water ain't the way I like it.
Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
