    Favorite Jigs

I found out today that my brother has recently purchased about 40 lead molds and almost 200 lbs of lead. I do not know what styles other than a shad head up to 1 oz, and a egg singer in 3 and 6 oz size. Gonna go look next week and pick me out the ones I need to borrow.

I wanna know what y'all consider the premier size and styles of jigs for fishing off piers and bridges. Colors that I need to be considering also.

    All info is appreciated

For macs, Bullet jigs in 1/4 to 1 oz.
Three best all around colors are white, white or white.

Life is too short to drink bad beer.

I mold, paint and tie my own jigs. I used to use a lot of plastic tails, after numerous loss of tails after a cast or two, I have gone almost exclusively to real hair or nylon artificial hair jigs. I use jigs ranging from 1/4 Oz to 2 oz. As far as types go, I have several, but prefer spear head, shad head, and banana head. I've painted many different colors but primary color for me is white or chartreuse. Tails I use white the most. I tie my bucktails to imitate a bait fish. Therefore most of the hair I usually will be white or chartreuse with the top of the jig or the baits back, I use pink, chartreuse, yellow, and so on. I've had very good luck on my jigs on the pier especially pink and white with a little flash. If I could figure out how to post pictures, I'd be happy to share. Hope this helps!

Good times, Good friends, Great Beer. You can buy all three - But it's always better to invest the time to make your own.
