Excited for our first Gulf Shores visit
I just wanted to make a post and thank all the users on this forum. I have been trolling and reading it since June, and have many notes and gear (from bubble rigs to sandflea rakes, and customized fishing carts
There is so much information on here and everyone is willing to give their input. I read the fishing reports daily, and am always excited to see what people are catching. (Sure was a nice looking Cobia a few days ago!!!) We will be there from the 8th to the 15th, will probably be doing mainly surf fishing, but will make at least one trek to the pier. We are staying just to the east of the Little Lagoon Pass. We also have an inshore guide scheduled so hoping that goes well also. (scheduled to go with Captain Ronnie from Alabama Inshore Fishing) I don't have a lot of experience fishing, but sure do love it!!! My name is Robert, stand about 6'4 so I tend to stick out in a crowd, looking forward to seeing some action when we get there!!!

Hi Robert I was in the same spot you were in last year and let me tell you it's a blast down there. I'll actually be down this year the same week (we are staying at the cabins at the state park). It looks like it will be great beach weather, not sure about the fishing so much, but then again we struck out on good eating fish last year so any fish will be an improvement.

Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
