Blues and macks should both be running good at that time, your bubbles and gotchas will work, providing as always that the fish are in a biting mood

June is one of those months you can catch just about anything on the pier. So be prepared for everything!

A spinning combo seven or eight foot with a line capacity of at least 300yds of 16lb mono. A 6000 size Penn Battle or Fierce will be money well spent if the Kings are running.

    My normal cart load:
    1 or 2 - 7-8' "king" spinning combos, 250 yards 14# mono, 6-8" 27# single strand leader & a #4 2x treble or a big hard bait.
2 or 3 - 7' medium spinning combos with 10# line, for bubbles, loonies, gotchas, belly strips, fishing the shallows, etc..
    1 bait rod.
