    Drowning at Ft Morgan Pier

Anyone hear about this? If I couldnt swim, I wouldnt fish over water on something that didnt have a rail. Also, did anyone find the beginning of this story a bit odd? That was a lot of detail about how they were casting on a story about a drowning.

Saw that story, but didn't know the Ft. Morgan pier didn't have a railing. That's odd isn't it? A public pier with no railing?

Yes I noticed that, probably a new reporter or something. I hope they find him. But thats like right beside the shipping channel and the way the wind and current was, being carried out into the gulf is something they can't rule out.

There current was absolutely ripping that night after the storm front moved through, so although the water is not very deep at all at the pier-I can see where someone as big as BJ couldn't hold bottom with his feet and get pulled into the bay. I saw Marine Patrol was launching their Zodiac and airboat the next day from the causeway on my way to work. It looks like divers just found him as I was typing this.

I think it's less than 6' at its deepest because I wade there to throw my mullet net in the summer.
