    Projected Weekly Progress:
Beach fill work will proceed eastward from the Hilton Garden Inn subline landing to the Romar House B&B. Work will flip to westward progress sometime during this week. The next subline move will be westward to the center of Gulf State Park.
That move is expected to occur sometime in the following week.
    ???

I've sent an email to the company (and cc'd someone in the State park system) to get an estimate of when and HOW CLOSE they will fill east of the pier.

    We'll see...

    email from 'the horse's mouth'
The fill will stop approximately 500 ft east of the fishing pier, similar to the fill on the west side. The first 500 ft of the fill (on both sides) near the pier is part of the fill tapers and is a relatively small fill density (cubic yards per foot).

    Re: Dredging

When they did the west side of the pier the pipe was about a 1/4 mile from the pier.
They just buldozed some of the dredge pile toward the pier and it got thinner and narrower as they did.

It sounds like they will have a similar approach on the east side so it should not directly affect the beach within 200-300 yards east of the pier either (I hope)
