I have limited out many times at 1:00am -4:00am under the lights on the octi.
'Veteran' whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve is someone who, at one point in his/her life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'USA' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.'

I hope the lights on the octi are back up by the time you and I get down there. I'm pretty sure they haven't put them back since the hurricane in October.

When I come down from Indiana I usually get on pier 1 1/2 he before daylight.Never caught a Spanish in the dark but the blues tore my top water poppers and rattletraps up.Its funny that as it got daylight the blues quit and Spanish took over! Never had problems with the sharks eating my blues either.

I also have been out before daylight and caught Spanish under the down lights. I've been calling and emailing people for 3 months now about the lights now. I finally talked with the electrical contractor that is doing the lights and it doesn't look good for the fisherpeople. The problem is the rail lighting it is old and apparently the fixtures are having to be replaced and are on back order. I talked to Brent and he said the down lights were removed before the storm in early October and they should be ok but the State wants all the parts in before the contractor starts doing the work. If your a regular on the pier you know that the last time the down lights were out it took about 2 years to get them working. We need every body to start calling Montgomery and asking why we can't get the wiring that was damaged during the storm repaired and install the down lights. The rail and overhead lights can be installed when they come in. WISH I HAD BETTER NEWS BUT THAT'S ABOUT ALL I'VE BEEN ABLE TO GET DONE.

Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
