Thread: Did we need more proof Gulf Council is anti-rec?

It doesn't get any more blatant than this. The Fishing Rights Alliance discovered that 3 Gulf Council members, including one from Alabama, have paid positions with a commercial fisheries lobbying group! FRA REQUESTS REMOVAL OF THREE GULF COUNCIL MEMBERS

They did not disclose these positions and so should be subject to jail time or at least substantial fines.

Simply outrageous.

Also for those of you who fish from boats, hope you enjoyed trigger season because it ends next week. Crabtree and company are claiming we've already caught 30,000 lbs of triggers this year despite the often rough seas and the 2 per person limit.
