Deep Sea Fishing in Mid-May
I am thinking about renting a charter boat and taking a 6-8 hour trip. The description says bottom fishing and trolling. The boat is out of Orange Beach. Is the deep sea fishing good this time of year? What should I be expecting to catch?

Everything but red snapper and gag grouper will be open, so it should be a good time to go.
I imagine if you do a bottom fishing trip, you will concentrate on Amberjack, triggers, vermillion snapper & porgies. Probably catch some kings too, maybe a cobia.
Which boat?

Not sure who you or if you are using anyone yet but if not, Capt. Don McPherson runs a great outfit out of Orange Beach.

I’ll be sliding into town March 10-14. Can you have it warm and sunny for me then? And also, how about having the fish biting??? :D
