Dauphin island west end report
Fished from 5am to 9am at the west end and fished the gulf side at the first cut. Wind was light and the water was calm for the gulf side Right off the bat I hit a nice speck about 16 inches as soon as my cork but he got off. Next cast as soon as my cork hit was a keychain Spanish. Next was a couple of lady fish which was fun but then after casting a few ties with nothing in return my rod took off screaming drag. A 21" speck was making my rod scream like it ever has after a few minutes I got him in. To bad I listened to my friend and kept going to the Katrina cut should've had stayed their and caught my limit. As I was leaving the waves were getting rough as the tide changed. First speck ever caught 😀

Some people would say "never leave fish to find fish". However, chasing dreams is what fishing is about.
Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
