    Crappie Rigs?

After reading an article in a national magazine, I learned that crappie rigs are good for a lot of saltwater pier fishing. Any input gentlemen? I have a ton of panfish/crappie equipment I could use.

In addition to crappie and lots of fresh water species, a good medium or medium light spinning rig is great medicine for spanish mackerel, bluefish, white trout, skip jacks, spadefish, and remora that I can vouch for....also flounder, sheephead, speckled trout, and various other species that I've seen caught. Just wash gently and wipe them down after salt water use and the equipment should do very well. As far as crappie baits are concerned, I've caught spanish mackerel, bluefish, and skipjacks on the same small, fluke type baits I use for crappie. They also hit the split tail bobby garland baits -- the silver metal flake and the pink did very well back in the spring when the spanish were hitting some really small minnows. I've seen some folks using the small hair type crappie baits behind a bubble float and doing well.
