Colored Mono vs Clear
Is there a big difference in clear line vs colored line fishing for kings beyond being able to follow your line better? (which would help if I am setting up a rookie)
Does it matter to the fish?
I have also seen the two tone line that changes from black to color every two feet or so.
I wanted to check before I decide to re-spool.
J&M will probably be my first stop but wanted your thoughts ahead of time. I am from Chicago but to me shopping J&M is "shopping local".

I dont think the kings care one way or another.

I use hi-viz yellow. My problem isn't gettin fish to hit, but getting them on the deck :wall:
Saw a couple people hooking up with bright pink line.Screw it. Let's ride.

I've never seen main line color make much a difference. Your leader line is what the fish will encounter and either ignore or shy away from.

Re: Colored Mono vs Clear
I've tried a lot of different colored lines, from what I've noticed fish don't care. Like VG said its the leader they care about. I use a flouro leader when speck trout fishing, that stuff is invisible in water and has no stretch which I like.

Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
