Collapsible pier net???
I have been trying to find a collapsible pier net, something better for travel. The frabill pop net is unavailable everywhere, and the spro freestyle drop net is (so far) only available on european websites. Does anyone know of another collapsible pier net that is available?
ThanksBrandon

Not Frabil, but there are several others on Amazon that are collapsible...they don't have the traditional netting material, but instead are more of a fine mesh type

Frabil net has a tiny drawback of not sinking to let fish over edge (frame ring is buoyant). Adding a sinker fixes this. I've also used the flexible steel rings of a fold up sun screen inside plastic tubing to make my own; not worth the trouble when Frabil exists.

I keep one as a back-up in my truck. Added 2-3 lbs. of lead sewn in the bottom. It does fold over a big fish (20+ pounds) when hoisting, but will raise them over the railing.

This one that I got at Academy is really heavy-duty. It's billed as a crab net, but I use it as a pier net. It is made of fairly heavy steel rod hoops. When I bought mine, it was on sale and I think I paid about 8 bucks for it. It was a great deal. https://www.academy.com/shop/pdp/h2o...dCatid=3841417

Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
