Cobia
 Spent yesterday on the pier and had a chance to hook up with a nice cobia but it was lost during the gaffing process.. Chi chi managed to haul in a 31 pounder with the help of Nolan who did a great job gaffing it.. Throughout the day, I saw several good sized kings brought in and just before dark, spanish mackral converged on the east side at the end of the pier and a number of folks caught some nice keepers... All in all, it was a wonderful day of fishing and I thoroughly enjoyed all the folks there..

Re: Cobia
chi chi's ate a sardine, i'v only heard of 3 or so fish hooked on jigs this year
Give a googan a king, and he can eat for a day. But teach a googan how to kingfish, and he'll be dead of mercury poisoning inside of three years
