Charter Trip 1st Week of September
I'm going to be down in Gulf Shores the 1st week of September with some friends and will mostly be surf fishing but would like to book a charter boat one day, probably a 6 hour trip. There will be 5 of us, 2 more experienced fisherman and 3 ladies without much time on the water but looking to have a good time. I prefer having a rod in-hand to feel the bite vs. trolling but want to make sure everyone gets a chance to hear some drag scream off a reel. Any suggestions for the type of trip (near shore vs. off shore) and species to target as well as a reputable charter service who is competitively priced? Thanks for the advice! I'll be the "googan" wearing a St. Louis Blues shirt fishing Perdido Pass!

Jayhook, who is mentioned in the distraction charter post for inshore fishing. Also, I enjoyed fishing with pierless who is on this forum.

My money is on Pierless. Check him out at Tom's coastal adventures. I am a bit biased though.

Thanks for the advice guys. I'll look into them today and get something on the books. Maybe I'll see you in a few weeks on the octagon!
Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
