Buoy water temperature drops
Has anybody got any thoughts about the sudden drops in water temperature shown on 42012 and 42040?
42012 dropped about 5 degrees on Sunday and then yesterday (Monday) 42040 dropped 4 degrees.
If nobody is "adjusting" the instruments then I guess it's just a blob of cold water, but it sure seems odd.
The sea temp map at Johns Hopkins does show an unusually sharp transition in temperatures in the area.

If you see natural water taste it. If it's salty it has sharks in it. If it's fresh it has alligators in it. If it's brackish it has both.

Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
