So I finally bought me another cast net the other day. I was wondering where some good places may be to go cast for bull minnows might be.

Finger mullet works for me at boat slips...I like to know where to get bull minnows also some shrimps also
You can get shrimp at most boat launches and shallow areas. I am just trying to find some possible places to find bull minnows for flounder. Sometimes I go fishing after work and there are no bait shops open when I get off work.
Bull minnows prefer marshy banks and the grassy vegetation hinders using a castnet.
At night they can be really tough to get.
Best method I have found is soaking a minnow trap in a foot or less of water baited with a crushed up blue crab.
Shouldn't take long IF they are there.
If not, try another likely spot.
Hope this helps!
Thanks for the info David. Guess I won't be getting any anytime soon. Finger mullet work well for flounder as well don't they? If so, any tips on them?
Sure!
Yeah, finger mullet are awesome.
Try the ramps and sandy points or gullies at daybreak.
In windy conditions they tend to stay under the surface a few more inches and they are harder to see.
One more tip: throw circles, not 'bananas' :poke1: ;D
Thanks David.
Right north of Perdido Pass on the back side of bikini island holds a lot of finger mullet. I've caught them at the lil lagoon boat launch on Ft.Morgan rd. also.
