Buff type masks cause glasses to fog?
I've started to notice a lot more of those Buffs and the various knock-offs around. As much time as I spend in the sun, I'm thinking I should grab one. I was looking up reviews on a few different versions and saw lots of people saying that they cause sunglasses to fog when worn over the nose. Can anyone comment on this? Any brands have breathable enough fabric to avoid this issue? If I can't cover my nose with it, I'm not going to get one.

yeah they will cause glasses to fog, i use the buff brand, but if you double it over right below your glasses it will keep them from fogging,
Give a googan a king, and he can eat for a day. But teach a googan how to kingfish, and he'll be dead of mercury poisoning inside of three years

Blue goop or something like that for glasses wil solve the fogging. I wear it on all my lenses Same problem I have with my helmet or safety glasses!

It drives me crazy trying to get them to not fog, they can be kind of hot too but it does help during the summer to soak it in some cool water and put it on. What is this blue goop your talking about? My new glasses have plastic lenses so hopefully they won't fog as bad as my other glass ones.

Re: Buff type masks cause glasses to fog?
most of the time I just fold the edge of the buff at the "nose bridge" on the costas..doesn't seem to fog as bad. Now on cold days I can't ever seem to get them to stop fogging up

A cheap cotton bandana is all you need. To minimize fogging of your glasses simply lower the bridge on your nose. This not only puts more air space between your face and glasses, but it also minimizes or eliminates exposed skin on your upper cheeks.

Re: Buff type masks cause glasses to fog?
I have the same problem with the ski mask I wear on COLD winter days.
The solution Dave mentioned is your best bet, just be careful not to leave skin exposed (to the sun) for too long(RETIRED) mostly.

No....its designed for coated lenses. I have 480lenses and it works great! Another product is called cat scat! I use it on my Optics to keep them from fogging on cold mornings

Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
