Bringing large group to pier 8/11

Hello guys, we arrived on Saturday late, got a little fishing in, caught some whiting with shrimp and fish bites. We are going to try and hit the pier at 6:00 with a group of 10 new pier fishers... Any suggestions how to get them started and recommendations on how to give them a good time without to many tie ups and getting in others way? Just looking to have fun. Have three girls, 14,13,12; four boys, 19, 17, 15, and 10, and 4 adults...

Bubble rigs (mostly*) for hardtails, blues, ladyfish, and Spanish for those who can cast and retrieve effectively, bottom rigs for those who can't with a sabiki or two for the younger ones who will be entertained by catching bait. One or two of the adults might be interested in putting out a live bait on a king rig, but the water is a little warm and you will not get a lot of action (of course, unless you do, one never knows).

My favorite lure on a bubble rig is a Clark Spoon, but all kinds of stuff works.

Rig a few with 2 oz lead and cast like a bubble rig, but fish deeper, then you will see whether they are biting deep or on top.

Gotchas work great, but for the inexperienced they are about as likely to catch a fisherman as a fish.

Yozuris and other shiny shallow runners work well but $$$$$ and take some skill.

    Good luck.
People are shocked to see sharks in the water around here.

If you see natural water taste it. If it's salty it has sharks in it. If it's fresh it has alligators in it. If it's brackish it has both.
