Bow Fishing The Beach
Any of you guys bow fish the beach at night? Thought it might be fun to just some sting rays or whatever else that way. Any rules/laws I should know about?

Unless regulations have changed all you need to bowfish is a valid fishing license.
It would be a good idea to check with the appropriate folkses who do the regulatin' though ;-)

I made a homemade speargun out of PVC and surgical tubing. brought it out to the beach to try it out and it worked good. I got a small stingray that was lying in the sandbar. That was fun and if the visibility was better i probably would have gotten more

Bowfishing is fun and if you have the materials and the time to make a speargun or gig or just buy one you can snorkel or dive in about 5-10 foot deep water and on a calm day with 15+ feet of visibility they will be everywhere. Do watch out for the barbs. You might need a long spear to get away from the bigger one's tails

Bowfishing is an interesting activity indeed. If you have satisfactory time and resources to make a fishing gig, you can enjoy Bowfishing in a more exciting way.

Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
