    Blue crab rebound?

Coming in August and was going to try my hand at catching some blue crab to boil. I searched on the forum here and got some tips and such but then noticed a lot of talk about the #'s being down due to the oil spill. Most of these posts were a few years old so was wondering if the population has rebounded? any reports or info out there?

There were the most blue crabs at Ft. Morgan in April that I have seen since I don't know when. I landed several eating my shrimpys by skiing them on top of the water; hung on like they were hungry, or too freaked out to let go.

If you catch any with soft shells just bring them to the pier and some local will dispose of them for you. Folks are very friendly down south.
