big thanks to pier management.
Not long ago, I wrote to the Governor, commissioner of Parks and Recreation and asked them to consider giving discounts to our Veterans. I was respectfully BUT flatly told no! Several months later, Gulf State Park Pier enacted a Veteran discount service. For that I am most grateful!! Out Vets are our treasure! THABK YOU STAFF!!!

Most states will list you as a Veteran on your Drivers License if you provide them with your DD214 or a certified copy of same. My license designates me as a Veteran here in Tennessee.
Dance naked my friends, life is short.

In Alabama it will too if you show your DD214 and pay the 30 something dollars to have it added. Of course it's been well worth it with my Lowes 10 percent off discount saved 100 dollars on new lawnmower.

I think I just showed them my Navy Shellback card from crossing the equator or maybe my old 1971 cardboard version of my VA card. Just got that new one done last week for medical. Very accommodating. And you need to ring the bell when you check in!!!!

My father in law is a Vietnam vet, and was emotionally moved by the wall, and the benefit to vets. He donated to the cause twice during our week there in June.
Thanks for the acknowledgement and appreciation shown by the Pier folks!
Just another reason to love the Gulf State park Pier - and their Peeps.Good times, Good friends, Great Beer. You can buy all three - But it's always better to invest the time to make your own.

I use my VA card or my life time member DAV card . If you have gone to a VA medical center or receive VA benefits you have been or should have been issued an official VA care .
Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
