Think the main factor is price. Depending on what you're wanting to spend makes a major difference. One thing for sure I like a lever drag versus a star drag reel. If I had the money and I fished more than I do I would look at the Talica's. They are stout. But if you're not talking about spending that much the TLD's are a good reel. But no matter how much a reel cost they still have to be cared for.

For me an Accurate Boss is as good as it gets. They come in different sizes depending what type of line you want to use. The Penn 6/0 you have is a great reel but the retrieve is to slow for me to pull a big grouper off a wreck. Avet mxl would be another good one. But you cant beat an accurate. Just my .02

All of the above would be solid choice, but I'll throw in my 2 cents. All of my jigging reel have to have narrow spool, to me the line lay much better and it doesn't wobble as much. The avet mxj would be a good choice for your price point but the drag is pretty weak @ 14#. The raptor serie would be better for about $100 over your budget. I usually fish with 15-20 lb of drag on strike.
You can't go wrong with accurate but my favorite jigging reel would be an shimano ocea jigger or a daiwa saltiga z serie. The ocea jigger has a spool lock feature that locks your spool and its really helpful you're stopping a reef donkey heading back to the reef, the saltiga z has a auto engage where you can turn your handle and the drag will engage from free spool, it's very helpful when a fish hit your jig on a fall. Good like and tight line.

We get that exact question asked hundreds of time a year and in that price bracket we lean towards the Shimano TLD20II. The retail is 289.99 and it holds around 500yds of 100lb braid. The two speed feature is great for deepwater grouper because you start the fight in low gear by cranking as fast as you can with little effort and once the fish is is off the bottom and no longer in danger of getting back into the wreck, you then hit the release button and now your in high speed and you can now pump the fish to the boat.

Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
