    big bite!!!

After almost a week I got a big bite. It was a big beautiful ugly black drum off Ft Morgan beach. It almost spooled me , while fishing for whiting. Go Fish!! I love salt water fishing.

Y'all surf fishermen need to get the pompano worked up for me. I'm gonna start soaking shrimp and sand fleas in the ditch somewhere in three or four weeks. I'm predicting a mild weather trend for the rest of this month (based on absolutely no facts, just wishful thinking), so the pomps should be cruising the surf by then. I had fun with the pompano last year, but I'm afraid our wonderful and magnificent beach replenishment project screwed up my favorite spot. I just hope it has had time to recover itself back to its former glory.

I also lost several go to spots due to the beach replenishment . They replenished ok; by filling in the cuts and troughs. Not being down there all the time it takes a lot of searching to find decent places . At least for me .
