    Post Best times

I am new on here and was wondering what are the best times to fish the piers. Me and my son started fishing them this past summer and had good luck. Now he is dying to go back just not sure when the fish will start moving back in. I have looked for reports but having some difficulty locating any.

Depends on what you are looking for. Here is a good chart by Pier#r. Late April to mid June are mighty nice. Water temperature makes a lot of difference to the migrations. Late July to early Sept are the days with water temps the highest and the king macks get scarce.

People are shocked to see sharks in the water around here.

If you see natural water taste it. If it's salty it has sharks in it. If it's fresh it has alligators in it. If it's brackish it has both.

Go back to last years reports, that should give you an idea of what and when (within a few weeks) and water conditions at gulf shores

Other piers tend to keep a tight lip when the catching is happening

I don’t care what it is. Of course I love to catch table fair but watching my boys catch bait is a ball. Last year we caught a lot of whiting and some reds and specs. Would love to hook into a Cobia. I appreciate the advice.

Great chart, I'm coming up to Pensacola from Orlando in May and I'd like to hit the Gulf Shores pier as well as some Pensacola fishing spots.
