Bay fishing
Hello, all. I will be down this weekend and plan on spending a day or two on the pier. But, my family is staying back on the bay this time, and I would like to spend some time on the piers at the marina fishing. Please advise as to what rig/bait might be best to use back there. Don't really care what I catch, just want to be fishing.
Thanks.

A couple of different options IMHO would be live shrimp under a popping cork, Or the Mirrorlure MR17, and even Matrix shad with yellow jig head would all be good for specks and redfish. You will probably catch a lot of lady fish this way also. If you are using frozen shrimp then all you will catch most likely would be catfish, rays, and croakers.

One of your best bets would be to use a popping cork with live shrimp. I normally use a size 12 treble hook and hook the shrimp right behind its brain on the horn. You should be able to catch some reds and specks using this easy method. You may even be lucky enough to catch a flounder or two.

I’ll be sliding into town March 10-14. Can you have it warm and sunny for me then? And also, how about having the fish biting??? :D
