Bait shop?
Just came down, sorry about bringing the cold weather with us!!! Want to go to a bait/tackle store for tackle, bait, and information. Staying west of the T intersection toward Ft Morgan. We have a pier on the Little Lagoon but it sure looks shallow. Thanks for any information . I'm going to fish somewhere today!!!

Husker,
Yes, Little Lagoon is shallow. I've never fished it but those that I know usually try and wade out as far as the can and fish for speckled trout.
as for tackle, you can't go wrong with J&M Tackle. Just click on the right of this forum
to take you to there site. I don't know a better group of guys that will be willing to spend time helping you out. Just tell 'em what you have and they'll tell you what you need to do. The shop has everything you'll need. They're located East on Canal Rd.
you won't be disappointed.
Have fun and let us know here on the forum how your fishing turned out. Don't hesitate to stop down to say hi to us on the pier.

Went to Top Gun and L&M bait shops' nice people at both places. Ate at Doc's on Canal St.,Wow!!!!! Fished the surf with a pomp rig with shrimp fishbites and threw out a new penny shrimp on a jig. Didn't get get a bite in 3 hours. Looked for slick water between waves. Fished from the little lagoon pass to the west. I'll be out somewhere tomorrow. I'm one cast closer. No one else out there. Maybe that should tell me something.

Hard to catch em if you don't try. Fresh Market is on 59 at County rd 10 (6 miles from the tee)on the way down by the Shell Station. They usually keep live shrimp and bull minnows when thye can get them. Also a good place to buy fresh fish if you get skunked and want to cook your own.

If your pier has lights they often attract speckled trout even though the water is shallow. Live bait is great but many artificials also work. A non weighted small fluke might get you a good dinner.
Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
