Bait
Can you trap bull minnows during the day or is it better at night? Thought about fishing early in morning and catching bait in middle of day or late afternoon. What is the best bait to put in a minnow trap for bull minnows? Also what is best time of day or tide to catch sand fleas? Also, what's the best bubble box or are they all pretty much the same? Thanks in advance!

You can cast net finger mullet during the day. When we stay down there that's exactly what I do. I catch bait between early morning and late afternoon fishing.
There is a new smaller bubble box that runs off of double A batteries. It says it's for up to 5 gallons. I was a bit skeptical at first but they seem to do the job and it's cheaper to keep fresh batteries in them. Also, I prefer to buy the name brand boxes. I have had bad experience with store brand bubble boxes.

This is the Frabil that has outlasted all the others. It's about $5 higher than the others and it seems like the 2 D cell batteries last longer with this one.

I also bought a 120v aquarium aerator for about $12 at Wally World and use it when I'm fishing the shallows and plug it in on the pier. It has saved a bundle in batteries over a week's fishing.

Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
