Armbreaker Rods
I am curious if anyone on this forum has done business with Armbreaker Rods. The owner has disappeared taking a large amount of client deposits with him. This happened some time ago but he is still nowhere to be found. I personally lost a $455.00 deposit to him.

I have never heard of Armbreaker rods but will check around with some of my contacts in the business and see if they know a way to get in touch with them.

That pretty much sucks large. There's a long thread on thehulltruth.com about him going back well over a year. As you said, apparently this guy really hosed a lot of people. The owner of a custom shop in Seminole, FL posted about him coming into his shop over the past few months selling custom rod parts super cheap, claiming his son was a rod builder and was going to jail for a long time. Apparently your guy dumping his remaining inventory.
Screw it. Let's ride.

His name is David Cichon. Use to see his rods on e-Bay. Never dealt with him though.

That's the name they were talking about on the forum I was reading.

Here's some more info: P.O. Box 3222 Seminole FL, 33775 | (727)392-4486 I'd be filing a claim in small claims court and if you paid him through Paypal or with a credit card I would see about reversing the charges!

It's too bad. Watch this video.
This guy once made AMAZING rods. I'd love to own some of them.
Based on the above info, I supposed David marketed the rods that his son built. Now that his son is in jail, he's making a run for the hills.

Reading between the lines on the thread I referenced, it kinda sounded like he was using the story about his son as a ruse to explain why he was selling all his inventory so cheaply. Otherwise, folks might get suspicious.
Sounds an awfully lot like he had a pyramid scheme running and either bailed while the getting was good or just ran out of enough new clients to keep it goingScrew it. Let's ride.

Yes, I believe the guy selling parts was probably him. I got taken by him and when I tried to recoup money through PayPal, I found out it was too late. I was just curious if anyone else around here got taken. Apparently not.

Sorry to hear that happening to anyone. It took me a second of wondering "how much is a rod worth to have a $455 deposit", but I realized you were probably having a matched set built. Stupid me.
Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
