    another trip to the island

    well i went about 2 weeks ago to dauphin island when it was a little warm but tuesday it is going to be 75 any ideas on fishing and what about behind the golf course i usually go to the jetties and that pier close by any suggestions?? Thanks

    also someone told me pomps run around dauphin island around this time is that true?

    Likely quite a bit early for pompano at DI.
    I never caught any at the 'old' DIpier until late March.
    Never saw any pomps caught at the east end, but plenty of sheepshead.

    The Golf Course could be holding some speckled trout, white trout and ground mullet.
    Live shrimp under a float is always a good option there ;-)

    Thanks I have never caught a sheepie so that's my goal Tuesday and white trout or speckled would be nice I know where to fish at the jetties but not the golf course any areas of interests by the golf course?
