Ahhh, that feels better!
One of the hazards of fishing I guess...
Two months ago I had a 'memorable encounter' with a pizzed off pinfish that broke a dorsal spine off in the tip of my index finger next to the nail
It has bugged me constantly since, every time I would bump my finger tip or apply side pressure I could feel it jabbing.
Until this afternoon when I felt something snag on some cloth and a sharp pain shot through my finger again!'pucker factor' was about a 7
I was able to pull it out with tweezers and it was over 1/4 inch long (5/16") and it had moved at least another 1/4 inch through my finger before the point came out the other side.

Ahhh, it's bandaged up now.
Thank You Lord!

BTDT several times - although not quite that bad. Usually keep digging with a needle until I gouge out a hole big enough to get to it. Tis painful.
Screw it. Let's ride.

I feel for you---I had a snapper spine break off under a fingernail (new Chinese torture) and it started to get infected, but I went to the Doc real quick for some cuticle surgery.

and some people think fishing isn't dangerous!
Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
