Advise needed!!
We're going out on the 6 hr. Reel Surprise head boat trip tomorrow They have squid for bait, would it be a good idea to pick up some better bait and if so, what? Any advise would be appreciated.

try to catch some pinfish or croakers before you leave the dock, to drop down on stout tackle for AJs.

I would pick up a box of cigar minnows at J&M if they have any. I' ve never had much luck with squid.

I'd check with the office before I brought anything extra. Last time I brought a box of cigar minnows they got upset with me. We were catching more and bigger fish than anyone else so some made comments about that. I didn't think anything about it but I could see their point. One negative feedback on their website goes a lot further than 10 positive.

Thanks guys for all the advise on the head boat bait. We will stop at J & M tomorrow morning after I call them to see if they have some Boston macks or some cigar Minnows. Hopefully I won't have to have wiener water soup tomorrow night.
Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
