adding egg weight before lure or spoon?
sorry to keep asking but I have seen people say it's good and some say that is horrible. is it really that bad to add a little weight before a spoon or lure to get some extra casting distance without sacrificing good fishing?

I usually just tie one behind a bubble to get the extra distance. Never really used a weight before a lure.

I will frequently put a 2 oz. lead in front of a Clark Spoon if I think the Spanish might be deep. I let it go to the bottom with slack on the line, then reel as fast as I can until it comes to the top, then let it drop with slack line and repeat. Some times it works, sometimes not.
People are shocked to see sharks in the water around here.
If you see natural water taste it. If it's salty it has sharks in it. If it's fresh it has alligators in it. If it's brackish it has both.

If the fish are not on the top and you see a few being pulled in with bottom rigs I will add a sinker 12" above the lure and depending what it is will determine how big, if the bottom has a lot of trash be prepared to adjust reel speed if you start bouncing bottom and change to a smaller sinker if you want a slower presentation,no 1 weight or lure works all the time no matter the depth
Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
