? about Jacks
Whats a average size Jack for the pier? Also are they caught on lures or live bait?

Average about 25lbs. When a school comes through they will usually anything in the water that resembles food

Big. I don't think I've ever seen one under 10 to 15 pounds. Mainly live bait or cigs.

They will frequently hit a spoon or lure, too, especially if they get the least bit fired up.

Caranx Hippos......Jack Crevalle....A terrific ball to catch (offtimes LONG fight)...Have never eaten one so will leave that to the experts!
