its bull$#!+, thats what i think about it haha. its going to mess up the economy, not just the fishermen and their jobs, but us as well. some people going on vacation plan their trip around it and now not everyone wanting to go will get to because of all the people trying to book trips. all the other businesses around will suffer due do the (probably not much) lack of tourism (if any)

I bet the farm that lobbyists, poltiticans, and commercial fishing interests are behind this. I talked to a few folks on the pier in April who had chartered trips while they were there and mostly caught big red snapper that were released. Someone's gonna have a nice pay day from the red snapper harvest this year.

Bingo. The group in charge of it all is called EDF. They have funneled money into another group called the Charter Fishermen's Association and (in my opinion) tricked many charter boat captains into joining up with them to screw the private rec sector. I expect the EDF to absolutely obliterate the charter fishing sector once they no longer have use for them.

When is the red snapper season began? Thanks.
Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
