5th Annual Bayou La Batre Kayak Classic Fishing Tournament

This Saturday, August 4th, is the 5th Annual Bayou La Batre Kayak Classic Fishing Tournament.
This tournament is a small town event that is an excellent fun filled day of fishing with an opportunity for lots of great prizes.
One of the best things about this tournament is that it offers a junior division where kids under 16 are allowed to fish from the shore.
This allows for anyone to get their kids involved and experience a fishing tournament.

My son Nate and I have taken advantage of this for three out of the five tournaments and had a blast.
I serve as his bait and tackle man, and he does all the fishing.
An awesome way to spend some father and son time together.
Nate has managed to secure two 1st place wins and a 3rd in two species categories, and come home with some really nice prizes.

So I signed him up for this year and was all excited, had everything set up and ready to go, and what does Nate go and do?
He breaks a bone in his left hand playing basketball at church last night.
I don't know who's more upset and disappointed, him or I.
Oh well, there is always next year.

Anyways, for those of you who kayak fish or have kids you'd like to spend Saturday fishing with from the shore or kayak, and a chance for great prizes and fun, this is the perfect event.
Don't miss out on the 5th Annual Bayou La Batre Kayak Classic Fishing Tournament.

Thanks, I'm sure he will, he's young and resilient.
He's at a good orthopedist right now.

Im driving up to Delaware to get into the Ponder Flounder fishing tournament 25 prizes but top prize 100,000 cash or choice of 192,000 dollars Scout boat loaded. My brother lives there and His boat is in marina docked near the Indian River inlet.
Check it out online my brother told me with over a week to go before boats can register there was 170 boats so far but lots more to come.We are fishing reef sites and sunken boats to start. We will lose a lot of rigs and line but that is where those big flounder live.
Any way I hope your son hand heals ok and thanks for telling up about the tournament.
