5500c3
I just bought a used, in good shape, 5500C3. Will this reel work for a little pier fishing? My concern of course is the saltwater damaging it. Will it be okay if I give it a good rinse?

I put mine on a 7 ft 11 inch Abu varitos rod extra heavy , it throws a mile , the reel stays dry on inside with light spraying down

My reel arrived in the mail today. That thing is smooth as butter. I put it on an old school 7-6 heavy rod, one of those that partially telescopes down in the handle.
Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
