4/5/14(not the gulf)
After several delays to my morning we finally made it out to "Lake X". Partly cloudy, light breeze out of the west, noticed the rain had filled this place up. Water still clear but a bit on the cool side. Walked out to a point that always produces fish and could literally see the crappie stacked on each other. All around cover and next to a drop off. Ended the day with 14 crappie and 1 small bass, lost a few to thrown hooks. Next thing we know wind picked up and changed directions and the bite just stopped. I did see a big gar that kept circling and scaring the fish, at that point I was wishing I had my big rod and a silver cricket...
anyways, here are the pictures.

Tasty...makes me want to go....very soon, still a little early here.....they are staging in the deeper water and being out in the lake when it's radiating 35+degrees...still needing winter close

Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
