That link didn't work for me. I wish it did so I could use it to plan next year's trip.

Go to outdooralabama.com, then Fishing, then Saltwater. 2016 Calendar link is on the left.

    Copied from ALMRD Fb page...

Just in time for the Mobile Boat Show! Stop by the Alabama Marine Resources booth (downstairs) and pick up your copy of the 2016 Marine Information Calendar. Deliveries to our normal distribution sites in Mobile and Baldwin counties will begin Monday, Feb. 22, if you are unable to pick one up at the Mobile Boat Show.

Looks like a rough week for my spring trip. Unfortunately, I can't schedule my trips around the moons loop...yet.
The first week of May has a neap tide mid-week. Does a neap tide slow fishing in the Lagoon as adversely as the surf/pier?

Good times, Good friends, Great Beer. You can buy all three - But it's always better to invest the time to make your own.

In my experience it does so as a general matter, but you never know with fishing.

People are shocked to see sharks in the water around here.

If you see natural water taste it. If it's salty it has sharks in it. If it's fresh it has alligators in it. If it's brackish it has both.

The problem you will have with the first week of May will be trying to not catch fish The tide may affect the surf and little lagoon a tad but for the pier I never pay any attention to the tide for Spanish Kings Blues etc Be there at first light and you'll catch them

I agree, I don't think tides have as large an affect on spanish, kings, etc... Spec fishing in the bay & rivers is a whole different story. When its neap tide I will fish the pier vs. the bay & river.

How are the fish biting I'm a Michigander and we will be down there during spring break this year with my family (including my in-laws so I might find myself out fishing a bit more than normal, lol). My brother was down there last year during spring break and they were catching all kinds of fish off the pier and made a comment in regards to how overly helpful most of the locals were down there.
