Bring a box of cigs for Kings and Spanish or get you some bull minnows for the shallows. Old fashion dead shrimp work too. After the water clears the bait will return around the pier or you could go to J&M and buy a few Looney jigs and use them. :headbang:

Check out this thread, it will give some overview of things down here and the fish we are after.

This time of year your best bets for targeting some good sized fish are redfish, kings, and jacks. All of which you would want to use either cigar minnows, or live baitfish (LY's, Sardines, Threadfins, ect.) either freelined, or under a cork. (Although you can catch redfish on bottom a lot of times too.)

You generally catch bait fish at the pier with a sabiki rig, or a ribbon rig.

For some good eating fish, I would target ground mullet, spanish mackerel, and flounder right now.

Ground mullet - fresh dead shrimp - peeled on a lite bottom rig, small hook.

Spanish: Jigs, 1/4oz-3/8oz, also plugs (gotchas), and live smaller baitfish (LY's, ect.) work well too.

Flounder: Bull minnows - light/med heavy bottom rig (usually carolina style)

[size=12pt]I am a firm believer in “Fish whenever you can and want to!” :yippee:
Lately, Kings have been best around sunrise and late afternoon and sporadic all during the day, but that was prior to the visit from Little Debby. The best time to fish depends on who you talk to and a lot of other factors. Here is link to a decent guess at best fishing days and times.

Just remember that all of the online prediction charts don’t take interruptive occurrences such as T S Debby into account. ???
    Hope this helps.
